The Forum welcomes the offer of the World Bank to host a workshop on indigenous peoples and poverty, and looks forward to receiving the results of the workshop in its fifth session

The World Bank is hosting a two day conference on Poverty and Indigenous Peoples in New York from 9-11 May 2006 wth participation of a large number of Members of the Permanent Forum.
In collaboration with the Secretariat of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (SPFII), the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Fund for Agricultural Development also expects to support and participate in the World Bank organized meeting on indigenous peoples and poverty in New York in May 2006.
